While 5SOS is on break, it is rumored that Hood and Irwin got pissed off with the Worst Band Award they received.
Earlier this month, the Australian group officially celebrated its fifth anniversary in the music and entertainment world. It has been five years since the pop rockers came together to flaunt and share their talents to everyone. It is no doubt that they have certainly grown better as the years passed by.
The foursome became one of the bands with the biggest fandom. From low-quality videos uploaded on YouTube to recording tracks in studios, they surely have created a name in its domain. Also, they have been nominated in awards shows and even received honors.

5SOS Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin Upset With the Worst Band Award?

Despite the multiple sold-out concert shows and awards, 5SOS recently got the Worst International Band Award. Unreality TV reports that the Aussie lads were insulted during the 2016 Rocksound poll.
The publication notes that the readers of that certain magazine voted in the category. It has become a yearly tradition for the outlet to hail the worst band of the year. Unfortunately, 5 Seconds of Summer took the lead over Black Veil Brides, Twenty One Pilots, Babymetal and Attila.
It can be recalled that it is not the first time 5SOS  received this kind of award. They also won the Worst Band trophy during the NME Awards 2016. After the latest news came out, drummer Irwin said on Twitter that they “are unstoppable at being the worst.”
Nevertheless, insiders divulge that the lads are seeing the funny side of it all. In fact, bassist Hood teased his followers when he heard the news and said that he is a “sucker for positivity.”

Meanwhile, the pop-rockers won the Best Band prize at the CelebMix Awards 2016. Calum Hood and his bandmates got an incredible amount of votes, making them the first on the list. It cannot be denied that the group remains strong in the industry amid the hiatus.
Fans should certainly wait until 5SOS gets back on stage with their third studio album!
